Extended Stay America Suites - Hampton - Coliseum

Quiet and convenient hotel in a safe area very close to the peninsula outdoor mall and restaurants and the establishment. Really accommodating personnel, spotless and huge rooms with a kitchen and supplies, as example. Variety of goodies for breakfast. Fairly nice overall experience.

Wi-Fi was kind of slow.

We discovered bed bugs, in my brother game shorts and the young lady had bite marks over her leg and arm!!

The area/location

That they are stuck on check in at 3pm. Tried to check in early due to flight getting in early and had to wait 3 hours to check in unless I paid $25 early check in fee. Also, not a good breakfast at all. Only granola bars packaged muffins coffee and instant grits/oatmeal

The location

None of the glasses, silverware or dishes were present and had to use plastic cups on bathroom to drink anything. Questionable maid services as it seemed dingy.Could hear neighbors easily above and next door which made us uneasy having private moments or conversations.

Them cleaning the room. I was gonna all day for 3 out of the 4 days and it wasn't touched. A bigger breakfast would be preferred for more incentive to get up earlier and participate.

Staff were great! The location was great because it's a short walk to events.

Staff was super nice. It was close to the Hampton convention center. We got a Booked.net deal so we had a very low rate. I'd stay at the normal rate. We didn't use the kitchen but it's a nice option to have.

Breakfast bar could've been better. They say continental breakfast but there's really only coffee apples and granola bars.

The room space.

When I booked my room, I thought that I would be charged for the price that I saw online and I thought the room was paid for. But when I checked in, it wasn't paid for and it was a different price from what was online.

great staff but room for improvement in maintenance

The staff stood out . Denashia at the front desk was cute and made the check-in process seamless. I also appreciated the spaciousness of the queen studio. It offered ample room for my family to relax comfortably.

The bathroom could use some minor maintenance, as the faucet had a slight leak.

Large room. Close to the convention center.

Loud noises from neighbors, kids running up and down the hallways at all hours. Continental breakfast was a buffet with food - apples, burnt muffins and granola bars and coffee . No tables to sit at, etc.

Quiet, pleasant place to stay. Easy to find. Had grandson with us, so extra space was helpful.

Pillows were lumpy. Dirt, etc was around rear entrance.

Friendly staff made up for issues

The keys didn't work, I got locked out multiple times, and the shower didn't drain at all. Missed some basics like soap and pillows in the room. Plus, a weird wake-up with what was like bug bites. Hopefully, they get it sorted!
